Incompatible fertiliser ingredients should not be mixed together. Examples like above highlighted with red/orange boxes include:
• Urea and ammonium nitrate-based fertilisers such as NPKS Compound
Examples of ingredients that may have Limited Compatibility together in blends are:
Urea Magnesium Oxide ; Zinc Sulfate Mono ; Copper Oxysulfate
DAP SuPerfect ; Magnesium Oxide
SuPerfect Zinc Sulfate Monohydrate
Problems may not be experienced on every occasion when these blends are supplied. However, these blends typically have a low Critical Relative Humidity and are prone to absorbing atmospheric
moisture.
In some instances, chemical reactions may occur between the blend ingredients. As a result, the blend may set in storage and/or be difficult to apply. This may occur within a matter of
days or even hours, depending on the ingredients, the physical quality of other components of the blend, prevailing weather conditions, and the way the blend is stored and applied.
Given farmer expectations that blends should be of reasonable quality, Pacific Fertiliser does not wish to supply such blends unless the customer/end user are aware of the risks with Fertiliser ingredient compatibility.
