Mine sites & tailings dams are degraded lands that present relatively hostile site conditions that require a detailed understanding of plant-soil water-environmental interactions to achieve successful rehabilitation.
Areas of disturbed mining land are rehabilitated each year by professional consultants and contractors generally by applying imported soil cover, soil amelioration products, mulch/manures, landscaping and planting the area out with pasture grass, seedlings and tree tub stock.
Pacific Fertiliser supplies products to mining and civil companies working on mine rehabilitation projects. Some of the rehab products we supply to mines include gypsum, lime, bentonite, fertiliser, seed, compost, manure and fencing.
We also supply products to repair/construct mine tailings dams, mine retention dams & mine water supply dams. PAcific Fertiliser also has products to control dust on dry tailings dams.
