Pacific Fertiliser uses a new Veris U3 soil mapping trailer and we also have a great relationship with SwatMaps in Gatton, to provide detailed mapping of paddocks to obtain:

  • pH
  • EC – Electrical Conductivity
  • OM – Organic matter
  • Topography (within 2.5cm accuracy)
  • EM – Electromagnetic Induction (SWATbox device only)

The information gathered provides you with a detailed map of your paddock(s), providing you with a good insight into your soil.

Prescription maps can be generated from the mapped data for variable rate application of products like lime and gypsum to uniformly condition your soil.

On the first variable rate application of Ag Lime to your paddock after soil mapping, it has been stated by Precision Agriculture Australia and Veris that you can save up to 30% on lime costs.

That’s 30% on your lime, transport and spreading costs.

The data also creates a valuable map on which you can build your own Precision Ag asset.
