As fertiliser in Australia becomes expensive and in tight supply, growers will look for fertiliser alternatives. One of those is a common fertiliser, super phosphate (SSP) or Superfect.

With an analysis of  0-9-0-11 it is a low analysis fertiliser, but with phosphorous and sulphur it is a versatile product.

Alternatives for Single Super are:

  • Rock Phosphate (including soft rock phosphate fertiliser and apatite fertiliser)
  • Phosphate Rock blends
  • Guano
  • Guano Blends (including Guano+SOA, Guano+Sulphur)
  • MAP fertiliser 10-22-0-2 (at a low application rate if your crop can handle some nitrogen)
  • Pasture Blend Fertiliser (5-18-0-10)  – Pacific Fertiliser pasture blend
  • Triple Super  Sulphur (0-18-0-10 through to 0-16-0-20 with extra sulphur bentonite blended)
  • Double Super (0-16-0-5 through to 0-13-0-17 with extra sulphur bentonite blended)

When manufactured fertilisers are expensive or in tight supply, mineral phosphate fertilisers such as soft rock phosphate and guano become more attractive. These mineral fertiliser products can be blended to provide alternatives to main stream fertilisers and include other benefits like calcium, silica and neutralising effects. Mineral Fertiliser Products like:

  • RP Sustain (0-6-0-6) – SRP Sustain consists of domestic soft rock phosphate blended with gypsum (all natural)
  • SRP SustainES (0-8-0-11) – SRP Sustain ES consists of domestic soft rock phosphate blended with elemental sulphur
  • Guano SG (0-13-0-11) – Guano Sulphur Gold consists of imported guano blended with elemental sulphur
  • Guano SOA (7-9-0-8) – Guano blended with Sulphate of Ammonia
  • BioAgPhos S10 (0-11-0-10) – S10 BioAgPhos consists of imported phosphate rock blended with elemental sulphur

Pacific Fertiliser can provide phosphate fertilisers straight or in blends in both air seeder or aerial grades.
