Under Queensland’s Transport and Main Roads Specifications (TMR) MRTS16 for Landscape and Revegetation Works, agricultural lime used as a soil amelioration agent must meet a Neutralising Value (NV) of 90 or above and be submitted for laboratory compliance testing using MRTS16 Form C / Form I documentation.
Other General Ag Lime Quality Criteria for the TMR Road Projects:
have a pH value of 8.5 +/- 0.5, determined using the test method in accordance with
Clause 5.5 of AS 4419, and
have a particle size distribution of:
i. 100% by weight to pass a 5 mm sieve
ii. 95% by weight to pass a 3.5 mm sieve, and
iii. 40% by weight to pass a 0.15 mm sieve.
