MAGNESIUM – is an essential element for all plants. These crops have been found to be especially responsive: alfalfa, blueberry, beet, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, celery, clover, conifers, corn, cotton, cucumber, eggplant, lettuce, onion, pepper, potatoes, pumpkin, spinach, squash, tobacco, tomato, and watermelon. Other uses include stock feed and side dressing for bananas, pineapples, sugar cane, macadamias and broad acres pasture improvement.

KIESERITE
Kieserite is a naturally occurring magnesium sulfate monohydrate, containing both magnesium and sulphate. Kieserite improves plant growth, photosynthesis and yield, especially in magnesium-deficient soils. It should be used to meet immediate magnesium requirements in crops and pastures. We also supply MagOxide and MagCarbonate products.

General Specs:
Magnesium (Mg) 15%
Magnesium Oxide (MgO) 25%
Sulphur (S) 17%

MAGNESIUM OXIDE
Is mainly used by Pacific Fertiliser in balanced fertililser blends as a slow release high grade magnesium source. Magnesium deficiency can be detrimental plants. Magnesium can be easily leached away in strongly acidic, light or sandy soils.

The below analysis is a guide and we provide variations in analysis and sizing to suit your application using products such as GranoMag AL7F, Coarse AL7, Fine AL8, EMAG500 and Emag523.

The process to convert Magnesium Carbonate (MgCO3) into Magnesium Oxide (MgO) is undertaken through a calcination process where the ore is heated up to ~1000 degC, for the chemical reaction to take place.

General Specs
Magnesium Oxide (MgO) 96%
Calcium Oxide (CaO) 2%
Silica (SiO2) 2%
Magnesium (Mg) 58%

MAGNESIUM CARBONATE
Is mainly used by Pacific Fertiliser in balanced fertililser blends as a slow release high grade magnesium source. Magnesium deficiency can be detrimental plants. Magnesium can be easily leached away in strongly acidic, light or sandy soils.

Magnesium carbonate is generally easier to handle for applications on farm.

The below analysis is a guide and we provide variations in analysis and sizing to suit your application using products such as 1SS, Mag2000, GrowMag1000 and FMAG (blend of MagOxide & MagCarbonate).

General Sepcs:
Magnesium Oxide (MgO) 43%
Calcium Oxide (CaO) 3%
Silica (SiO2) 4%
Magnesium (Mg) 26%

DOLOMITE:

Dolomite is also a cheaper alternative source of magnesium that is easy to handle.

Dolomite is a is great source of calcium and magnesium for plants. It is naturally occurring rock containing calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate (CaCO3.MgCO3). Where both magnesium and lime are required, dolomite is often more cost-effective than applying magnesium and lime separately.

General Specs:
Calcium as (CaCO3) 42%
Magnesium as (MgCO3) 38%
Magnesium (Mg) 11%
Netrualising Value (NV) 65%
