MAGNESIUM OXIDE

Agricultural MagOxide is mainly used by Pacific Fertiliser in balanced fertililser blends as a slow release high grade magnesium source. Magnesium deficiency can be detrimental plants. Magnesium can be easily leached away in strongly acidic, light or sandy soils.

While this is an essential element for all plants, these crops have been found to be especially responsive: alfalfa, blueberry, beet, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, celery, clover, conifers, corn, cotton, cucumber, eggplant, lettuce, onion, pepper, potatoes, pumpkin, spinach, squash, tobacco, tomato, and watermelon.

Other uses include stock feed and side dressing for bananas, pineapples, sugar cane, macadamias and broad acres pasture improvement.

The below analysis is a guide and we provide variations in analysis and sizing to suit your application using products such as GranoMag AL7F, Coarse AL7, Fine AL8, EMAG500 and Emag523.

The process to convert Magnesium Carbonate (MgCO3) into Magnesium Oxide (MgO) is undertaken through a calcination process where the ore is heated up to ~1000 degC, for the chemical reaction to take place.

Magnesium Oxide (MgO) 96%
Calcium Oxide (CaO) 2%
Silica (SiO2) 2%
Magnesium (Mg) 58%

MAGNESIUM CARBONATE

Agricultural MagCarb is mainly used by Pacific Fertiliser in balanced mineral blends. Magnesium carbonate is generally easier to handle for applications on farm.

Magnesium deficiency can be detrimental plants. Magnesium can be easily leached away in strongly acidic, light or sandy soils.

The below analysis is a guide and we provide variations in analysis and sizing to suit your application using products such as 1SS, Mag2000, GrowMag1000 and FMAG (blend of MagOxide & MagCarbonate).

Magnesium Oxide (MgO) 43%
Calcium Oxide (CaO) 3%
Silica (SiO2) 4%
Magnesium (Mg) 26%
