    Top Dressing Grade Fertilisers

    What is Top Dressing Grade Fertiliser?

    Generally top dressing grade fertiliser is granular fertiliser that is suitable for broad cast spreading using a belt spreader.

    Given belt spreaders are more forgiving on particle size distribution, Pacific Fertiliser have developed a cheaper fertiliser product suitable for Top dressing.

    Pacific Fertiliser can take second grade fertiliser (lumpy fertiliser, fertiliser sweepings) and re-process them into a more uniform product suitable for belt spreading.

    The top dressing grade fertiliser products are mainly 2-5mm granules but do contain some fines (but there are no large lumps present).

    Given the price is cheaper than conventional 98-100% granular fertiliser it can create decent savings on input costs, if you can broadcast apply your fertiliser for pasture and cropping applications.

    General top dressing grade fertiliser products that we sell are:
    – TDG Urea Fertiliser
    – TDG NPKS Fertiliser

    We do not advise these products are stored for too long before use, stored in silos, hoppers, groupers and used in an air seeders.

    SRP Sustain – Organic Fertiliser

    SRP Sustain products are a high quality natural organic fertiliser blend of soft rock phosphate, biology, gypsum and sulphur.

    The Sustain blends offers cheaper alternatives to Single Super (SSP) providing good levels of plant available phosphorous, sulphur and calcium. The phosphorous is in a form where it doesn’t lock up in your soils and the biology and sulphur help to make the phosphate rock reactive.

    The biology used on the Sustain blends contains fish emulsion, sea trace, carbon fulvic humic an other ingredients including bacillus subtilis.

    We sell soft phosphate blends in power form and both air seeder grade or aerial grade granules. These Sustain blends of can meet organic or sustainable input requirements for cropping, pastoral and horticultural applications.

    We can also offer the SRP SustainR which offers a cost saving by using recycled gypsum instead of the natural gypsum in the rock phosphate blends.

    Available in powdered form or air-seeder grade granules or aerial grade granules with packaging options of Bulk and bags.

    Phosphate Rock Gypsum Blends

    Pacific Fertiliser can blend soft rock phosphate with natural gypsum to make an organic single super blend. The application rates for phosphorous below are equivalent 125kg/ha of Single Super

    70/30 blend – (0-7-0-5)  – 165kg/ha

    60/40 blend – (0-6-0-7)  – 193kg/ha

    50/50 blend – (0-5-0-9)  –  232kg/ha

    Generally for the organic blends it is best to go on a bit heavier due to the slower release of the phosphorous and sulphur. Pacific Fertiliser can also add biology, and sulphur to increase nutrients and reactivity.

    Guano is a natural organic phosphate product. Pacific Fertiliser Guano products has good phosphorous and calcium contents with the added benefit of silica and trace elements. Through blends Guano gives a natural organic alternative to Single Super and PKS fertilisers. The 2-5mm granulated Guano products are easy to handle and are air-seeder ready. The granular guano products generally spread to 30m from normal fertiliser spreaders and have a good bulk density (1.5t/m3) for aerial spreading and ground applications.

    Pacific Fertiliser regularly blends guano with SOA, MAP & DAP as well other trace elements.
