  • New Tractor to the Spreading Fleet

    New Tractor to the Spreading Fleet

    Contract Spreaders have just purchased a Case MX335 tractor to tow the bigger spreaders in the fleet, which can carry up to 21 tonne of ag lime.

    The new Case MX 335 tractor (335hp) fitted with a Trimble system coupled to the Agrispread AS120T spreader with an AS controller can provide very accurate spreading of both rate and spread pattern. The state of the art system allows variable rate application maps to be uploaded into the machine for precision spreading jobs.

    Variable rate lime and gypsum spreading can save farmer input costs and increase productivity for their land through applying the correct amount of product where it is required.

    With large hoppers, upto 36m spread width on urea and a large front end loader, Contract Spreaders can cover a lot of country in a day for their customer.

  • Granular Aerial Grade Carbon

    Granular Aerial Grade Carbon

    Pacific Fertiliser releases a new Granular aerial grade carbon product.

    To compliment the existing 2-4mm and fine brown coal (humate) products, the larger 4-12mm granules offer the following:

    • lower cost compared to 2-4mm humate granules
    • larger granules assist with product flow in aircraft hoppers and small conical spreaders
    • granular carbon uses super fine grade brown coal to make the larger granules so once wet the solubility is still good
    • lower dust compared to powdered product
    • ability to blend it with other granulated products such as phosphate and liquid biology stimulants

  • Aluminium Toxity Treatment with Gypsum

    Aluminium Toxity Treatment with Gypsum

    Aluminium (Al) toxicity is often a major constraint of acid sub soils. Many of the soils along the east coast of Australia have acidic subsoil, partly naturally, partly as a result of cropping.

    Al3+ions are toxic to plant roots, which go to great lengths to avoid acidic subsoil. This restricts their growth to the topsoil layer, where they can rapidly deplete the soil of water and nutrients, leaving deeper water and nutrients untouched.

    Gypsum is used to reduce Al toxicity in countries such as Brazil and South Africa, but is still not generally recommended in Australia.

    Gypsum normally provides a quicker response compared to lime and/or dolomite offers more immediate returns.

    Silica can buffer the soil by binding with iron and aluminium to nutrients like phosphorous to be more plant available. Pacific Fertiliser has some silica products suitable for agriculture.

  • Wandoan Gypsum

    Wandoan Gypsum

    Pacific Fertilisers supplies gypsum into the Wandoan and Roma areas regularly for Gas, Civil and agricultural applications.

  • Granulated Minerals and Fertiliser

    Granulated Minerals and Fertiliser

    Pacific Fertiliser do a range of granulated ag minerals, granulated fertiliser blends, through to granulated blends with chicken manure.

    We use domestic minerals and fertiliser for our granulated products, which not only supports our local economy but also ensures there is biodiversity risk from imported goods. We re-screen the products after being granulated to ensure sizing and also ensure there is no fines/dust in the products.
    Please find the list below showing some of our standard products below. These products are available in bulk, bulkbags and pallets of small bags.

    PHOSPHATE ROCK products are an excellent natural source of phosphorus, calcium and many essential trace elements. Phosphate rock has up to one fifth the neutralizing power of lime.

    • Pacific Fertilisers Soft Rock Phosphate has the following advantages:
    • The product is Pre-digested, making it more soluble than other sources such as  Middle Eastern;
    • Contains good P and Ca levels with the added beneficial silica and low cadmium;
    • It is an Australian mined and refined product.

    Pacific Fertiliser sells Rock Phosphate products that can provide exceptional results and make P readily available for plants, especially if the soil is Acidic (pH 5 to 6) with low levels of calcium (Ca) and available P.

    Phosphate Rock is a slow release organic fertilizer and continuously adds P to the soil over a longer period of time. The benefits to farmers are lower costs and lower labour requirements because Phosphate Rock does not have to be applied every year. The phosphorous is not water soluble so it will not rapidly leach away, but the collodial soft rock phosphate shows good levels of citrate solubility providing good plant available nutrients.

    Rock phosphate, can mineralise the soil and improve the quality of crops and soil structure. However, its principal uses are to build phosphate fertility where levels are low and/or to increase rooting activity in transplants and sprouting seeds.
